Welcome to Safe Water for 2 Billion People (H2O-2B)!  We are an international team of humanitarians, water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH) and public health professionals cooperating to develop, disseminate and scale-up simple, low-cost, portable water quality test and WASH treatment products.

Why Safe Water for 2 Billion People? We embrace the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) generally and SDG-6 specifically -- the human right of everyone, everywhere to have safely managed water and sanitation and hygiene. The UN estimates that over 2 billion people worldwide lack safe drinking water and over 4 billion people lack safely managed sanitation.

Water safe from E.coli, arsenic and fluoride, those parameters singled out by the SDG-6, are a good start. But we believe this list of contaminants is incomplete. We call our effort Safe Water for 2 Billion People (H20-2B) because we support the United Nation’s SDG-6 focus on the 2 billion people who lack safe water. Our target is concentrate our efforts on those 2 billion people.
